Steve Young is a co-founder of Sorenson Capital and a Managing Director of the firm. Sorenson Capital is a leading Private Equity firm specializing in investing in companies with revenues typically from $20 million to $200 million and with earnings from $3 million to $25 million.
Mr. Young has had extensive experience in private equity and venture capital investments and in entrepreneurial projects as a limited partner, angel investor and board member.
Steve Young's professional football career spanned more than fifteen years in the NFL, primarily
with the San Francisco 49ers, where he received numerous accolades, including the NFL's Most Valuable Player for 1992 and 1994, Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XXIX as well as Sports Illustrated and Sporting News' Player of the Year from 1992-1994. Mr. Young is also the highest-rated quarterback in NFL history and has the distinction of being the only signal caller in league annals to win four consecutive passing titles. He has been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in
Mr. Young founded and chairs the Forever Young Foundation which is actively involved in children's charities in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Utah, and is currently the broadcast host as well the former International Spokesperson for the Children's Miracle Network which has raised over one billion dollars world-wide to benefit children's hospitals.
